Terms of Service

Last updated: July 8, 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using the GapAI website, Early Access Beta product, and related services.

By using the website, creating an account, or using GapAI features, you agree to these terms.

2. Current Product Stage

GapAI is currently in an Early Access Beta phase. Features, pricing, availability, integrations, and product design may change as the service is developed. AI-generated questions, scores, and feedback may sometimes be imperfect and should be treated as study assistance, not a final authority.

Beta access does not guarantee availability in every region, uninterrupted service, or access to every future feature.

3. Accounts and Access

When accounts become available, you are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your login details secure.

You must not share access in a way that harms the service, bypasses limits, or allows unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable Use

You must use GapAI lawfully and responsibly.

You must not use GapAI to upload unlawful content, infringe intellectual property rights, harass others, bypass security, scrape the service, reverse engineer protected systems, or interfere with the operation of the product.

You are responsible for making sure your academic use of GapAI follows your school, university, course, exam, and assessment rules.

5. User Content

You keep ownership of the materials, notes, documents, prompts, projects, and other content you upload or create in GapAI.

You give GapAI permission to host, process, display, and use your content only as needed to provide and improve the services you request.

You should only upload content that you have the right to use.

6. AI Tools and Outputs

GapAI may provide access to AI solutions such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and other AI tools. AI outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific situation.

You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing AI outputs before relying on them, submitting them, publishing them, or using them for academic, career, legal, financial, or other important decisions.

GapAI is designed to support learning and productivity, not to replace your own judgement, teachers, academic advisors, career advisors, or professional advice.

7. University Matching and Work Opportunities

University matching and student job features are intended to help users discover possible next steps and opportunities.

GapAI does not guarantee admission, scholarships, interviews, job offers, income, employer responses, or outcomes from any university, company, or partner.

You are responsible for checking the details, requirements, deadlines, and suitability of any opportunity before applying or accepting it.

8. Plans, Discounts, and Payments

GapAI offers a free plan alongside paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed and managed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.

Early users may receive discounted subscription options for a limited period after paid plans launch.

Pricing, discount terms, usage limits, billing periods, cancellation rules, and refund policies are shown before any paid subscription starts and may be updated as the product develops.

Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe under its own terms of service and privacy policy. GapAI does not store your full card details.

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout.

9. Third-Party Services

GapAI may connect with or rely on third-party services, including hosting providers, analytics providers, AI model providers, and future payment providers.

Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy notices, limits, and availability rules. GapAI is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

10. Intellectual Property

GapAI, including its brand, website, product design, software, text, visuals, and other materials, is owned by GapAI or its licensors, except for user content and third-party materials.

You may not copy, resell, reproduce, or exploit GapAI materials except as allowed by these terms or with written permission.

11. Availability and Changes

We may change, pause, limit, or discontinue parts of GapAI as the product evolves.

We aim to keep the service useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent availability of any specific feature.

12. Disclaimers

GapAI is provided on an as-is and as-available basis during the early validation and access phase.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties that the service will meet every requirement, produce specific results, or be free from errors, interruptions, or inaccuracies.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GapAI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, or academic or career outcomes.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if a user violates these terms, misuses the service, creates risk for others, or uses GapAI unlawfully.

You may stop using GapAI at any time.

15. Governing Law

Unless a different jurisdiction is required by law, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
